Issy Carnes – Most Competitive Rider!
Today’s Stage One Tour Down Under kicked off the very first women’s WorldTour race in Australia.
A super tough and windy race, the ladies rode well as a team with Issy Carnes making a break off the front in the final 30km with fellow Aussie rider Gina Ricardo before the peloton caught them in the final 10km.
A really impressive ride from Issy.
The finish came down to a bunch sprint where Lucie Stewart, the race’s youngest rider sprinted to place 9th and claim the spot in the top 10.
