Dani De Francesco sprints for the Stage 1 victory
Current NRS series leader and stage winner Dannielle De Francesco from ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast, said “I was lucky my team mates did a lot of hard work early on so I could sit in there and do my best to the finish and got away with the win”.
On the 3km climb up Poatina, De Francesco said “it was pretty tough with the headwind in our face, I just tried to tuck in and nothing really happened until 100m out, so I went first and stayed away”.
